Editor's Note, Spring 2008
Welcome to your Spring issue of NRBM. As we go to press our thoughts go out to the community of New Orleans as they await the onslaught of Hurricane Gustav.
Business Matters this issue has a special focus on Office Supplies, where we showcase two companies that offer cost effective solutions for business. We also welcome Jacinta Weir of JHA, as our new Employment and Training expert. Inside you’ll find our usual host of business information to help your business succeed including Employment & Training, Finance, Security, Communications, Agribusiness and Marketing. Our aim in Business Matters is to cover issues that affect your business, if you have any topics you would like us to cover please e-mail them to: the editor.
Our major feature this issue is on the Clarence, this diverse area covers every environment from city to seaside and rainforest to village. The Clarence Valley is going through an economic revolution fuelled by a growing population and investment in business. Business is booming and as MP Steve Cansdell says: “It’s a great place to work, rest and play.”
Councils throughout the region have teamed up with the Department of Environment and Climate Change to help residents Go Green. The Rebate Program is part of the NSW Government’s Climate Change Fund, established to help people be more water and energy efficient. Find out more on page 19.
What’s On this issue covers a number of business events for those setting up business, and for established businesses including marketing, customer service and managing employees. If you have a business event you would like to include for the next issue, which covers Dec Jan and Feb, email them to editor@nrbm.com.au.
We hope this issue motivates you to business growth this Spring.
Until Summer
